Executive Coaching Services

Executive coaching services for owners and senior executives. Confidential one-to-one work with Olga Newman herself, on a fixed scope agreed before the work starts.

Key takeaways

  • The catalogue is deliberately narrow, and it includes partner mediation, which most coaching firms do not offer at all.
  • Coaching a capable leader inside a broken structure improves his composure while the results stay flat, and everyone then concludes the leader was the problem.

The executive coaching services on offer

Olga Newman works as a business and behaviour diagnostician, and every service below starts from the same question: which part of this company's performance is structural and which part is behavioral. The catalogue is deliberately narrow.

Engagements open with a free call and the Bottleneck Diagnostic at $1,500. Anything after it is scoped and priced from what the diagnostic finds.

Choosing between coaching and consulting

Roughly half the owners who arrive certain the problem is their team turn out to be wrong, and the other half are right. Coaching is the correct purchase when the person holding the decision is capable and needs a thinking partner and a schedule. Consulting is the correct purchase when the company's structure would defeat a better person in the same seat.

Buying the wrong one is expensive in a specific way: coaching a leader inside a broken structure improves his composure while the results stay flat, and everyone concludes the leader is the problem. That is why the diagnostic comes first and why it produces a written finding rather than a proposal. Where the finding points at something we do not do, we name it and stop there.

Confidentiality is set before the first session. Themes and progress against agreed outcomes go back to whoever is paying. Session content does not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask about executive coaching

  • Executive coaching is usually sold by the hour or as a six-month program, and prices vary widely with the coach's seniority and the size of the client. Those numbers describe ongoing development against personal goals. Our work is priced differently because it is scoped differently. It starts with a free call. Then the Bottleneck Diagnostic, a fixed piece of work at $1,500 that names what is actually holding the company back. Anything after that is scoped and priced from what the diagnostic finds. If the diagnostic shows the problem is structural rather than personal, coaching will not fix it and we will say so.
  • Ask three questions before buying executive coaching services from anyone. First, what will you do if the diagnosis turns out to be structural rather than personal, and are you willing to tell me that? A coach with only one service will rarely find that answer. Second, what specifically am I buying, and what does it cost, written down before we start. Third, what evidence does this engagement produce, beyond a feeling that the sessions were valuable? Credentials such as ICF accreditation are a reasonable hygiene check but they do not indicate fit for an owner-led company between $500k and $50M. Experience with a business of your size and shape matters far more than the length of the certification list.
  • Executive coaching is worth it when the problem genuinely sits with the leader, which is less often than the coaching industry implies. If an owner cannot delegate because no role in the company has been given the authority to decide, coaching the owner's mindset changes nothing: the structure will pull the behavior straight back. When a capable leadership team is being held back by how one person decides under pressure, that is exactly where focused work pays for itself many times over. The honest test is a diagnosis before a purchase. That is why the free call and the Bottleneck Diagnostic come first, and why we will sometimes recommend against buying anything further.
  • Coaching works on the person: judgement, decision-making under pressure, how a leader holds a room. Consulting works on the system: structure, process, pricing, how the sales organization operates. Owner-led companies rarely present a problem that is cleanly one or the other, which is why buying only one of them is a common and expensive mistake. Our practice deliberately spans both executive coaching services and consulting, and the diagnostic decides the mix rather than the sales conversation. In practice that means some engagements are largely structural with a small amount of leadership work, and some are the reverse. What we do not do is arrive with the answer already chosen and then reinterpret your situation to fit it.
  • Our executive coaching services are for owners and senior leaders of companies between $500k and $50M in revenue where growth has stalled and the cause is not obvious. Typically the owner is still the final approver on everything material, the leadership team defers rather than decides, and the business has outgrown the structure that got it here. Companies below $500k are usually still finding a repeatable offer, and our diagnostic economics do not serve them well. Enterprises above $50M generally need program capacity we do not provide. We also decline life coaching, therapy, and career or job-search work; those are different disciplines and should be bought from practitioners who do them properly.
